The goal of this production analysis is to aid the pork industry in improving efficiency. This is done through an analysis of anonymous production data using a standardized set of business logic and calculation algorithms which follows the industry to identify areas of opportunity and focus, production trends, and a basis for comparison.

Data in this study has been compiled by the MetaFarms Ag Platform from farms across the United States that have been in production for a minimum of 4 years to establish multi-year comparison analysis. The 2020 dataset represents 1,680,429 females from 647 farms as well as 17,466,905 Nursery pigs, 17,450,442 Finish pigs, and 7,949,572 Single-Stocked Wean-to-Finish pigs. Data integrity business rules were applied to remove outlier data and improve consistency.
